Things that Mummy
loves most about me:
- You wake up happy every morning, it’s impossible not to smile back at you.
- You’re a ball of energy and although it’s sometimes hard to keep up with you, it’s a joy to watch you so full of life and eager to learn about everything.
- You love to chat. You chatter everywhere you go and say hello and bye-bye to everyone you see, even total strangers in the shops.
- You are so stubborn and strong willed. Your terrible two’s are now very much in full swing. Although this is really challenging, I admire your independence.
- Every morning when I wake up I still have to remind myself that I actually have you. I am so lucky and not a day goes by when I take you for granted. A few years ago I never dared imagine I would be able to have children. You are literally a miracle. You are my everything
Funny stories:
Bridesmaids dress
shopping
We went into the most beautifully decorated bridal shop with cream
carpets. I took you along as I thought ‘hey what’s the worst that could happen?
How wrong I was. Within minutes of arriving, whilst my bridesmaid was in the
changing cubicle you had lactose induced mishap. Literally covering yourself
head to toe in your own diarrhea. I snuck you into an equally beautiful toilet
(which obviously - being a bridal shop, had no changing facilities). You couldn't swing a dead cat in
there. And you proceeded to spread it everywhere. Mortified is not he word! Those cream carpets will never be cream again.
You have no fear..
You decided to put your ride along scooter on top of your toy box. You
then climbed on top of it and reversed it off of said toy box. Daddy was home
and I was out at the time. I just received a photo from him with you hanging
backwards off the scooter, wedged between the toy box and the wall. You looked
a little alarmed. But it was hilarious.
Memorable moments:
- Learning to walk, and then run.. at speed!
- When you worked out how to propel myself along on the scooter
- When you threw a toy and it hit Mummy, you were so concerned and gentle. You came up and rubbed my nose and then didn't stop saying ‘sorry mummy’ for 20 minutes.
Things that make me
happy:
- Morning bottles, bed time bottles
- When Daddy gets home from work
- Time at the supermarket
- Going to the Farm
- Nursery
- Taking your shoes on and off
- Shouting ‘Monkey!?!???’ at the top of your voice when you cant find him. It's as if you expect him to answer you.
- Playing rocket ships with Daddy
- Seeing my cousins
- Being in the garden
Things that make me
sad:
- - When I get a ‘boo boo’ as I call it
- - Nappy changes
- - Teeth brushing
- - When anyone dares to try and help you eat
- - Long car rides
How I get into
mischief:
- - Climbing at every opportunity
- - Emptying entire bags of nappies onto the floor
- - Playing with food and then spreading it everywhere
- - Moving furniture
Angelic things I do:
- You are very gentle with other children and adults.
- You say hi and bye to everyone you see.
Reasons I am loved:
-
All of the above.
Hopes for the coming
year:
- - That you settle into your new nursery and find a nursery nurse that you like as much as Hoddy
- - That you continue to enjoy life just as you do now, and that you slow down a little so as I can enjoy these moment a little longer.
- - Continue to be the sweet, joyful child that you are.
Happy birthday our sweet, beautiful boy
